The 41st annual Chautauqua in the Park in Chillicothe is this Saturday and Sunday at Simpson Park. Caroline Warren, Engagement & Operations Specialist for the Chamber of Commerce says Chautauqua is a juried arts and craft festival.
160 booths, including Traditional Arts, a Children’s area, and a Petting Zoo.
There is no charge to attend Chautauqua. The hours are Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. WiFi will be available in the park, and there will be an atm on site as well.
If parking is a concern, Warren says they have some options both days, from a bank at Washington and Clay Streets downtown.
Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
There will be many food vendors throughout the park, entertainment on the main stage, and strolling entertainment all weekend.
