The Chillicothe Lady Hornets finished fourth out of 12 teams Thursday at the Richmond Tournament, carding a 419 as a team. The tournament was delayed several times by lightning and rain, with play finally getting underway at 11:30 a.m., making for a long, hot and muggy day on the course.
The top three teams were Summit Christian Academy (401), Maryville (413) and Savannah (414), with Chillicothe just five strokes behind Savannah.
Emerson Brobst led Chillicothe with a 99, placing 12th individually. Libbie Bonderer followed with a 101, Harper Horsman shot 103, Ava Lance carded 116 and Piper Guthrie finished with a 124.
South Harrison’s Ainsley Klindt captured individual medalist honors with a 79. Smith-Cotton’s Hannah Lowman was second at 81, while Richmond’s Lyla Best finished third at 83. Richmond also had Karoline Dooley place fourth with an 88.
