The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will have a free Prescribed Fire workshop in Linneus. Prescribed fire can be a valuable tool for managing native plant diversity and controlling undesirable vegetation. It can also be dangerous and ineffective when not used properly.
Landowners and land managers are invited to learn about using prescribed fire as a land-management tool on Thursday, Oct. 15th, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the University of Missouri Forage Systems Research Center in Linneus.
The workshop will provide basic information about how to plan and execute a prescribed burn for grassland management.
Registration is required as space is limited. Follow the link to register. mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com/Event/EventDetails/220686.
