The Chillicothe Lady Hornets golf team finished fifth Thursday at the Chillicothe Invitational, posting a team score of 404.
Competing at Green Hills Golf Course, Maryville captured the team championship with a 377, followed by South Harrison at 378. Richmond finished third at 390, Kirksville was fourth at 396, and Chillicothe rounded out the top five at 404. Moberly followed at 405, with Putnam County (440), Trenton (481), Macon (492) and Penney (540) also recording team scores.
Individually for Chillicothe, Ava Lance and Emerson Brobst led the way with matching rounds of 96 which tied for 12th overall out of the 61 total golfers. Libbie Bonderer followed with a 103, while Piper Guthrie shot 109 and Harper Horsman finished with a 111.
South Harrison’s Ainsley Klindt was the individual champion with a 74. Richmond’s Lyla Best finished second at 82 and Karoline Dooley was third at 83.
