The preliminary plat for a proposed planned unit development on the old hospital property received approval from the Chillicothe City Council. Kinnison McKay made his presentation to the council for a proposed 54 unit development that includes single family homes and row houses. He says there are four different types of housing.
2 bed / 2bath single-story and 2 or 3 bed / 2 or 3 bath 2-story.
The development would be a managed area, not maintained by the city. It would have stormwater retention and drainage and would need to meet the appropriate codes.
The preliminary approval allows McKay to continue to move forward and present the completed plat to Planning and Zoning.
