The Chillicothe Police Department responded to more than 180 calls for service from Friday through Sunday.
Friday: A deceased person was found inside a residence in the 800 block of Sunset Avenue, with the investigation ongoing. Officers handled several traffic-related incidents, including two separate two-vehicle crashes, with no injuries reported. Officers arrested a man on an active warrant and transported him to the Caldwell County Detention Center. Later that night, an officer investigating a traffic stop arrested a driver for driving while intoxicated.
Saturday: Police investigated a possible child abuse case and responded to several disturbances. A man was arrested after officers investigated careless driving on Trenton Road. He faces charges including DWI, careless and imprudent driving, driving while revoked, and failure to comply with an ignition interlock device. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center on a 24-hour hold.
Sunday: Officers handled several incidents, including a road-rage complaint that resulted in a careless and imprudent driving citation. Police also investigated a theft and arrested a suspect who was found to have an active warrant. Two separate DWI arrests were made, and officers responded to two domestic disturbances. One resulted in an arrest and transport to jail.
