Kansas Man Pleads Guilty to Possession Of Child Pornography

A Shawnee Mission, Kansas, man charged with 37 counts of possession of child pornography is facing a prison sentence of 15 years under a plea agreement.  Thirty-eight-year-old Philip James Taylor was arrested in December of 2025 in Caldwell County.  The case was moved to Livingston County in March of 2026.

Taylor made an appearance in Livingston County Circuit Court for Plea and Trial Setting and entered a plea of Guilty to one count of Possession of Child Pornography.  In exchange, counts 2-37 were dismissed.  If the sentence is approved by the courts, Taylor will serve 15 years in prison, consecutively to any other sentences.
