The My Missouri 2021 Photo Exhibition, presented by the State Historical Society of Missouri, is in Chillicothe through July 22nd. This exhibit is part of the Missouri 2021 Bicentennial Celebration.
Michael Sweeney, from the State Historical Society and Coordinator for the Missouri Bicentennial, talked about the exhibit that is oriented around the four seasons.
Two-hundred photos were selected to showcase the geographic and cultural landscape of the state. Sweeney says they provide an opportunity on the occasion of Missouri’s bicentennial to reflect upon and increase the understanding of, the state’s rich diversity while recognizing the many things its people share.
Three of the photos selected are from local residents, Butch Shaffer, Crystal Narr, and Bronna Wilson.
The Exhibit is held locally at the Sliced Bread Innovation Center, at 1st and Elm Streets, through the 22nd.
