The tax rate for the Chillicothe R-II School District was set at 4.7176 per $100 valuation at Tuesday’s School Board meeting. The rate is an increase of 1/16th of a cent over the previous year. The School Board held a Tax Rate Hearing prior to Tuesday’s School Board meeting and no-one made any comments during the hearing. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says the tax will bring in a bit more this year because of an increase in the Assessed Valuation.
The rate applies to the Personal Property and Real Estate Taxes paid at the first of the year.
