The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 80 calls for service Saturday. Some of the calls include
At about 4:10 am, an Officer was in the 1500 block of Burnam Road on a report of a young child on their doorstep. The Officers determined the child was from next door and had let themselves out the door. The incident was handled by Officer and child returned next door.
9:04 am, Officers out in the 800 block of Elm Street on report of property damage. Investigation continuing.
10:51 am, Report of a suspicious acting person in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street. Officers made contact and the person was having mental issues. Voluntarily transported to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
1:31 pm, Officers responded to the 800 block of Walnut Street for a report of a man having shot himself. The 70 year old male had what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was transported by Emergency Services to Hedrick Medical Center where they were pronounced dead. Livingston County Coroner contacted and the family was notified.
10:37 pm, Officer made a traffic stop at Brunswick and Lily and found the 32-year-old driver was intoxicated. They were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated then released to a sober driver.
