The opening weekend of the Missouri Firearm Deer Season is complete, and there were more and 80,500 deer harvested. The Missouri Department of Conservation says that is down about 10% from last year. The breakdown of this year’s opening season includes: 48,695 antlered bucks, 6,867 button bucks, and 24,963 does.
Top harvest counties this year for opening weekend were Howell with 1,499 deer harvested, Bollinger with 1,453, and Franklin with 1,446.
