The Christmas season in Chillicothe is an opportunity to show off our Holiday Spirit and The Festival of Lights is one of those opportunities. The Festival of Lights will officially open on Saturday night, with a ceremony at Simpson Park. Festival of Lights Coordinator Barb Burton invites everyone to join them for this special tradition.
The music will start at 5:00 pm and the ceremony is at 5:30. Burton says unfortunately Santa won’t be attending in person.
Due to concerns about COVID-19, there will not be sleigh rides and refreshments this year. In case of rain, announcements will be made on the Festival of Lights Chillicothe, MO Facebook page.
