The City of Chillicothe has entered into an agreement with Grand River Technical School and the Livingston County Ambulance District for training service. City Administrator Darin Chappell says the city has also created a new position at the Fire Department.
The Training Officer will be working to train others at Grand River Tech, a situation that benefits the City.
Under the Agreement, the new Training Officer will begin the new position at the first of the year. The salary will be shared equally three ways between the City of Chillicothe, the Chillicothe R-II School District, and the Livingston County Ambulance District.
