As the Chillicothe Parks Department begins the process of preparing for a new ADA-compliant playground, questions have come up about the current playground and equipment at Simpson Park. City Administrator Darin Chappell says the Toddler Playground will be removed.
Chapple says as the toddler area is removed, they will work to improve safety and drainage.
The new playground will be on higher ground with greatly improved drainage and is protected by the trees along the north edge of the park property.
What will happen to the items removed from the toddler area has not been decided, but they could be used in other parks
