The Chillicothe Lady Hornets had a strong game and cruised to another win, beating North Platte 61 to 27 to win the Lawson Girls Tournament Championship.
Chillicothe’s Jessica Reeter led the team with 22 points and received the Most Valuable Player award for the girls tournament.
Jolie Bonderer had 15 points, Lucy Reeter with 8, Selby Miller with 7, Essie Hicks with 6, Cali Burkhardt with 3, Kinlei Boley with 2 and Sophia Luetticke with 1. Receiving playing time were Brooke Horton, Clara Leamer, Ellie Barnett, Bre Pithan and Izzy Montgomery.
Unofficially, Chillicothe set a Lawson Girls tournament record by allowing a total of just 60 points in their three games.
In addition to Jessica Reeter’s MVP award, Jolie Bonderer and Lucy Reeter were also named to the all tournament team.
