The number of new cases of COVID-19 in Livingston County was only about 20% of the number for January. The Livingston County Health Center reports 46 new COVID-19 cases for the month. That is compared to 242 in January. The cumulative total at the end of February was 1431.
In February, there were seven people from Livingston County hospitalized due to COVID-19. That is in addition to three that were still in the hospital at the start of the month.
Livingston County reported two additional COVID-19 related deaths in February. In January the number of deaths was 13.
The Health Center reports there were nine facility cases. That means the cases were at Nursing Homes and Long-Term Care facilities. Of the total, three were among staff members and six were residents of the facilities.
