The Chillicothe Hornets Boys Basketball team will try to extend their season when the 5th seed Hornets travel to play the top seed Richmond Spartans.
Richmond is 20-3 on the season, with their three losses to Kansas City St Michael in overtime, to Gallatin by 9 points and to KC Summit Christian Academy by 11.
Richmond scored 64 points per game on average, compared to Chillicothe’s 51.6. Both teams allow 50 points per game.
Chillicothe is 15-9 on the season and is coming off an exciting 1 point win over Savannah, while Richmond had a first round bye.
Richmond has ended Chillicothe’s season the last two years. Chillicothe beat Richmond in the 2016 district tournament. Those are the only meetings between the teams since the 2009-10 season.
