The Carrollton Town Council approved the purchase of a truck for the Fire Department and a tractor for the Sewer Department in Monday’s meeting.
Approval was given by the Council to spend $200-thousand for a 2006 100-foot ladder truck for the Carrollton Fire Department. It will replace a 1988 model, which will be sold.
Council members also approved the purchase of a tractor for the Sewer Department. The tractor is a larger horsepower tractor than the originally requested bid item, which was not readily available. The council approved spending an extra $4000 for the increased horsepower.
The Carrollton Town Council also approved the election results and hired two summer mowers.
