Vaccinations – Continuing Shots For School Age Children

Childhood vaccinations to build immunity to what used to be common childhood diseases, are given from the time of birth to around age four.  Registered Nurse at the Livingston County Health Center, Mary Taylor says at age four, a new series of vaccinations begin.

The students do have a break before additional shots are required at age 12.

There are some who feel the vaccination regiment carries a high risk.  Taylor admits there are some risks.

Allergies are another risk for some individuals.  If you have concerns, Taylor recommends talking with your physician.
