A portion of Route C in Carroll County, between Routes D and F, will close June 2nd and 3rd, to complete a culvert replacement project. Two culverts on that portion of Route C were damaged by flooding in 2019 and replaced in 2020 by contractors from Gene Haile Excavating, Inc.
Since the road reopened in October, the new culverts have experienced some settlement. The contractor plans to pave over the two culverts, resolving the settlement issues. In order to safely complete the work the roadway will be closed from 7:00 am on Wednesday, June 2nd, through 5:00 pm Thursday, June 3rd. This will be an around-the-clock closure and motorists will need to use an alternate route.
