While the City of Chillicothe and other communities may have restrictions on the use of fireworks, if you are outside city limits there are very few limitations. Area fire and emergency services departments do ask that you be responsible in the use of fireworks and that you use common sense in the type of fireworks and who is using them.
The Missouri State Parks prohibit the use of fireworks in their parks. Lt Ken Polley from the Missouri Department of Conservation says they have similar restrictions at conservation areas.
Area law enforcement reminds fireworks users to avoid trespassing. If in doubt, ask for permission
