Two accidents with minor and moderate injuries are in the report from the Missouri Highway Patrol for the area counties.
At about 3:45 pm on Interstate 35 in Daviess County, Fifty-year-old Cynthia M Ressel of Coffey was northbound and ran off the road and struck a tree. Ressel was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. She was also arrested by State Troopers on a warrant for alleged failure to appear on charges of alleged no valid license and failure to register a vehicle. She was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail with bond set at $1,000.
At about 4:20 pm in Linn County, a Kentucky truck driver was injured when he was eastbound on US 36 near Meadville and lost control on the rain-covered highway. The semi struck the guard rail, went off the road, and overturned in the median. Sixty-seven-year-old Michael Kolpin was taken to Pershing Hospital in Brookfield and later to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.
