The St Joseph Mustangs gave the fans their money’s worth last night in the MINK League Championship Series opening game.
St Joe had a big ninth inning, scoring six runs to come from behind and beat the Sedalia Bombers 8 to 7 to take the first of the three-game league championship series 8 to 7 in Sedalia. It was the second straight game that St Joseph used late inning heroics to pick up a win.
St Joe gave up a lead in the seventh inning when Sedalia scored six runs to take the lead 7 to 2.
St Joe will host game two of the best-of-three MINK league tournament championship on Friday.
