The Chillicothe R-II secondary students started the school year Tuesday, while the elementary school students started classes Wednesday. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says this was planned as a COVID precaution.
Wiebers says the enrollment is up about 33 for the district from last year.
The number of students may fluctuate over the first few days.
The students will not have to wait long for their first school holiday. They will have a three-day weekend for Labor Day.
