Livingston County ranks #3 in the state after the release of July Unemployment data.
The Unemployment rate for Livingston County dropped in July and remains the lowest of the area counties. Livingston County’s Unemployment for June was 3.4% and in July dropped to 2.2%. In July of 2020, the rate was 4.5%. The two counties lower than Livingston County are Scottland County, in far Northeast Missouri, at 1.8% and Mercer County, just to our north, at 2.0%

The State of Missouri’s Unemployment rate dropped to 3.9%, and the national rate fell to 5.7%
