State Troopers investigated two accidents in the area counties Monday.
A single-vehicle accident on Westbound US 36 near Wheeling left a passenger with serious injuries. State Troopers report 23-year-old Keyera K Adams of Brookfield was taken to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injuries. The driver, 21-year-old Mackenzy N Royal of Brookfield, had minor injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe. The Highway Patrol reports the accident happened as Royal was westbound and ran off the left side of the road. He overcorrected and returned to the road and the vehicle overturned. Adams was not wearing a safety belt.
A two-vehicle accident near Milan Monday morning left two with minor injuries. State Troopers report the accident happened at about 10:15 am on Pecan Road, east of Milan, as 20-year-old Tate A Snyder of Green City was eastbound as he crested a hill and sideswiped a westbound vehicle driven by 29-year-old Georgeanna L Earp of Milan. Earp and her passenger, 39-year-old Billy J Earp, had minor injuries and were taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
