The contractor for the Little Otter Creek Reservoir project was selected and approved. Caldwell County Commissioner Bud Motsinger says that contractor is Phillips Hardy, Incorporated of Booneville. Their winning bid on the project is $14.4 million dollars. Motsinger says this is a very large project.
Motsinger says preliminary work will begin as early as this March.
The time for construction is expected to be three years but will depend on the weather. When the construction is complete, because the reservoir will depend on runoff to fill, it could take a couple of years to fill.
