As the Chillicothe R-II School District prepares to place items before the voters that would allow for expansion at Chillicothe Elementary School to include grades 2-5, they are also working on the design of the building. Following the School Board meeting Tuesday, Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers said the architects have been working with staff in the school district.
Wiebers says the district is also preparing to meet with the public and provide information about the plan and the need for the expansion.
The voters in the district will make that decision on April 5th.
