The Chillicothe Boys Basketball season came to an end Tuesday with a 60 to 36 loss to St Joseph Benton in the District Semi-final game played at Benton.
The Hornets fell behind early and could not catch up after trailing 18 to 8 after the first quarter.
James Mathew had 15 points to lead the Hornets effort. Griff Bonderer had seven, Landon Winder with six, Alijah Hibner with five and Kenyen Gannan with three. Several others played but did not score.
Benton was led by 6’7″ Kason Mausey with 17 points and freshman Myles Bachali with 15 points.
Chillicothe finishes the season with an 18-9 record. Benton will play cross-town rival Lafayette for the championship. Lafayette beat Maryville 54 to 33.
