The construction of a new 60 x 80 storage building at the Fire Training Center was approved by the Chillicothe City Council. The building was bid at $300,573 and the council approved an upgrade that includes standing seam roofing and better insulation. Fire Chief Eric Reeter explained the need for the building.
The low bid was from Copeland Construction. The funds for the construction would come from the City’s Fire Tax, and that funding is available now.
