After several months of revisions to the vicious dog ordinance for the City of Chillicothe, city Clerk Roze Frampton presented the draft ordinance to the council Monday. The ordinance removes the breed-specific ban but strengthens the restrictions on vicious dogs.
The draft ordinance has been posted on the City’s web page.
The draft includes restrictions, definitions, and actions to be taken. Frampton says there is still work that needs to be done and they encourage input from the public on the ordinance.
A public hearing is planned before the council takes action to approve the new ordinance
