Three accidents for the local area were investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol Monday.
At about 11:15 am near Branson, 84-year-old Joseph W Shearer of Breckenridge had minor injuries following an accident on Highway 76, the report states a pick-up driven by 58-year-old Shela A Crackenberger of Hale was eastbound and turned into the path of a westbound sports car. The drivers were not injured. Shearer was taken to Cox Hospital with minor injuries.
At about 1:25 pm in Livingston County, a two-vehicle accident on US 36, just east of Chillicothe, left four people injured. According to the report, a semi was eastbound in the driving lane and a pick-up was also eastbound in the passing lane attempting to pass the semi, when the semi crossed the center line to make a left turn onto a county road. The semi-driver was 59-year-old Richard B Cook of North Carolina. The pick-up driver was 24-year-old Gary C Varner and his passengers were 19-year-old Taylor S McCannon and 44-year-old Agustin Sanchez Alvarado, all from Oklahoma. All four were taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
At about 5:00 pm in Livingston County, a single-vehicle accident left the driver with minor injuries. The Highway Patrol reports that 20-year-old Kennadie G Crowe of Chillicothe was southbound on Route D, south of Utica, when she ran off the road, overcorrected, crossed the road, the car overturned and struck a utility pole. Crowe was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.
