The Chillicothe Police Department report for the weekend included 117 calls for service. Some of the calls include:
Saturday
02:24 a.m., Officers responded to the 800 block of Elm St. for a vehicle that appeared to be broken into. Officers arrived and observed a window was broken on the vehicle. Nothing appeared to be stolen. A report was taken and the investigation continues.
12:07 p.m., Officers responded to US 36 to assist with traffic control for a vehicle fire on US 36 near Wheeling.
05:14 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of Park Ln. for a motor vehicle crash. The reporting party stated that they came outside and observed damage to their vehicle. Officers determined that the other vehicle had left the scene of the crash. The investigation is continuing.
06:05 p.m., Officers responded to the 2000 block of Redbud Lane in reference to a woman screaming and banging at the front door. Upon arrival Officers determined the female was a danger to herself and was not supposed to be on the property. The female was taken into protective custody. She was later transported to a hospital for evaluation.
6:37 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of Washington St. for an a person passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Upon arrival Officers determined that she was under the influence. Officers later located a controlled substance in the vehicle. The 30 year old woman was arrested and taken to Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.
07:02 p.m., Officers responded back to the 2000 block of Redbud Ln. on a report of property damage. The caller had located a broken window. A report was taken and the woman who was taken into protective custody was cited for property damage.
Sunday,
2:18 a.m., Officers initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. near Business 36 Highway when the vehicle continued to travel approximately 1 mile westbound on US 36 Highway. When the vehicle came to a stop Officers gave the driver directives to exit the vehicle. The driver refused to comply with Officers. The driver then fled the traffic stop in the vehicle. A pursuit ensued and a short time later Officers terminated the pursuit. The driver was identified. Charges are being sought at this time.
