Child Predator Suspect In Custody

A joint operation targeting online child predators led to an arrest of a 35-year-old male subject at Simpson Park, on Friday. The Chillicothe Police Department was assisted by Big Country’s Predator Exposure.

At 1:32 Friday afternoon, Detectives received a call about a 35-year-old male subject in Simpson Park, attempting to meet a 13-year-old female subject. The male subject was taken into custody without incident and transported to Caldwell County Detention Center pending formal charges.

The Chillicothe Police Department would like to remind parents to discuss with their children the dangers of online chats with strangers. Parents are encouraged to routinely monitor their children’s activity on social medial and other online applications to prevent them from becoming victims of child sex predators.
