The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report from July 20th to August 5th includes several investigations and arrests.
Incident Reports:
July 20th, LCSO responded to the 18000 block of LIV 242 for an abandoned vehicle crashed into a ditch.
July 20th, deputies responded to the 200 block of Mansur Street in Chula for a dog bite. A report was completed to be forwarded to the Livingston County Health Center.
August 1st, deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle with no tail lights on US 36 near Mitchell Avenue. The driver was found to be a man reported missing in Illinois. The man had Dementia. He was reunited with family a short time later.
August 5th, LCSO took a walk-in report of theft of license plates from the 6000 block of Missouri Highway 190. The investigation continues.
Arrests:
July 23rd, 45-year-old Justin Haley was arrested in the 100 block of Crescent Drive in Chillicothe on a parole warrant. He was also found in possession of various pieces of drug paraphernalia testing positive for Methamphetamine. Haley was taken the Caldwell County Detention Center
.July 31st, 24-year-old Cody Dickerson of Trenton was arrested at Livingston County Associate Court on a Clinton County municipal warrant for a traffic violation.
August 1st, a 29-year-old man from Peru was arrested for traveling 95 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 near LIV 277. He posted $250 cash bond and was released on a summons.
Citations:
Deputies also issued several citations during the period, many on US 36 for speed in excess of 80 miles an hour and some with speed near 100 miles per hour. Many of those cited are from out of state.
