Eighty-nine calls for service were handed by the Chillicothe Police Department Thursday, including follow-up investigations, traffic stops, and business and vehicle checks. Some of the calls include:
At 05:19 pm Chillicothe Officers traveled to Randolph County to extradite a man arrested on two Chillicothe municipal warrants, both for failure to appear in court. The man was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center to await his court appearance.
At 07:39 pm Officers responded to the 700 block of Clay Street to assist the Children’s Division with an investigation of child abuse. Two juveniles were removed from the home and placed into protective custody as the investigation continues.
At 10:12 pm Officers responded to the 1200 block of Washington Street for suspicious activity. Officers spoke with a man who had miscellaneous property scattered on the ground as he flailed his arms around. The man was later trespassed from the business.
