Friday Chillicothe Police Report

The Chillicothe Police Department received 91 calls for service on Friday, August 16, 2024, including the following:

 

At 12:12 pm, officers responded to the 900 block of Locust Street in reference to a toddler in the roadway. Officers were able to return the child home and found the child was left with a babysitter who had lost track of the child. Officers were able to contact the mother to inform her of the situation. The investigation is ongoing pending charges for child endangerment.

 

 

At 12:55 pm officers responded to the 1100 block of Sunset Avenue in reference to a wellbeing check on a possible suicidal juvenile. Officers were able to locate the juvenile and verified the juvenile did not wish to harm herself or others. Officers made contact with the reporting party and advised them of the situation.

 

 

At 1:33 pm Officers assisted Children’s Division in the 1100 block of Hillside Drive in reference to removing a 16-year-old juvenile from the home due to current living conditions. Based on the investigation and cooperation from the juvenile’s mother, the juvenile has already been safely placed within another home.

 

 

At 7:26 pm Officers responded to the intersection of Mitchell Avenue and Ryan Lane in reference to a water main brake. Officers were able to locate the leak and contacted CMU to repair the leak.

 

 

At 11:08 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of South Washington Street. Officers arrested a 24-year-old male subject for driving without a driver’s license. The male subject was later released with a citation and a court date.

 

 

Officers also conducted several traffic stops, business checks, vehicle checks, and followed up with numerous investigations.
