Trenton VFW Post 919 Seeks Donations For Remodel

Trenton VFW Post 919 is raising funds to remodel the post. Wayne Klineschmidt says they need to update the building so it is handicap accessible, and is easier for people to use the building that may have health problems.

The post will also be adding a dedicated office for the VFW Veterans Service Officer, Kansas City Veterans Center, and  Missouri Veterans Commission so Veterans will have privacy and a more comfortable environment.

Other plans include installing internet and computers so Veterans can come access the VA, employment, and speak to the VA doctors in real-time video conferences. The computer will also provide active military access to their military orders and benefits.

The plans also include a conference/event area upstairs and a kitchen downstairs.

Trenton VFW Post 919 is a 501c19, and they are partnered with Grundy County Veterans Association, a 501c3. This makes all donations tax deductible. Receipts are available.
