While Southwest Missouri and a portion of Southeast Missouri are experiencing moderate and severe drought conditions, as of September 24th, the Missouri Drought Monitor shows most of North Missouri has no drought or abnormally dry conditions.
For the local counties, Livingston, Daviess, Carroll, and Chariton Counties are showing no drought. All or portions of Caldwell, Grundy, Linn, and Sullivan Counties are reporting abnormally dry conditions.
The current drought conditions are an improvement over the previous period ending September 17th. At that time, of the local counties, Daviess County was showing no drought, while all other local counties were abnormally dry.
