MDC Enforcement Activities In The Area Counties

The Missouri Department of Conservation enforcement activities for September in the area counties include:

Corporal Bagley responded to a hunting accident in Carrol County where a victim was shot by another dove hunter on private property. The victim survived; the investigation is ongoing.

Livingston and Daviess County Conservation Agents contacted a group of dove hunters in Poosey Conservation Area who had shot teal in closed season.  The incident was called in by fellow hunters. 2 dead teal were recovered, and enforcement action was taken.

Conservation Agents contacted a group of squirrel hunters at Yellow Creek Conservation area in Chariton County. One of the hunters attempted to hide in the brush. The hunter was hunting without being hunter education certified. Enforcement action was taken.

A check of an unregistered vehicle in the parking lot of the Coval Gann public fishing access resulted in the driver. The suspects did not have valid driver’s licenses. During the contact, the driver was found to be in possession of an alleged controlled substance. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Conservation Agent at Bunch Hollow received a report of a vehicle driving off road on the area. They located the vehicle and its driver. Enforcement action was taken.
