Joeann Osborn 93, passed away on November 11, 2024 at Stonebridge Senior Living in Chillicothe, Missouri surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 9th, 1931 in Red Oak, Iowa to parents Walter Erickson and Olga Erickson. In 1947 she married John Merryfied and together they had three daughters. She later married Robert Osborn.

 

Joeann worked as a waitress for more than 50 years and enjoyed serving everyone who sat down at her table. She also enjoyed baking holiday decorated cookies for her family, beating them in bingo, going on walks, creating artwork and drawings, puzzels, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. Joeann also took great pride in her heritage as a full-blooded Swede.

 

Joeann is survived by her daughter, Sheilah Merryfield Ruppel, four grandchildren, Chad Merryfield, Jeni Lee, Justin Riley with his wife Trina, and Brandai Perry with her husband Patrick. Along with ten great-grandchildren, Ethan, Cierra, Olivia, Carlie, Mya, Tyler, Anthony, Bradley, Tucker, and Casen. A great grandchild, Opheila. Four step-children, Dennis, David, Debbie, and Diane along with a son-in-law, Gary Gibson. Family friend, Doug Tofsrud. As well as nieces and nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Robert Osborn. Two daughters, Nancy Rogers, and Vickie Gibson, three sisters, Crystal, Myrtle, and Carolyn, two brothers, Norman, and Ronnie.

 

A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date with a burial at Braymer Evergreen Cemetery.
