Peniston Charged in Alleged Airport Theft

A rural Chillicothe man is charged with alleged theft of airplane parts from a hanger at the Chillicothe Municipal Airport in October of last year.  Fifty-three-year-old Charles Robert (Bob) Peniston was charged in Livingston County Court with alleged stealing – $750 or more – a felony.

 

According to the probable cause statement filed by the Chillicothe Police Department, on October 3rd, 2024, Peniston allegedly entered a hanger at the airport and removed a box of airplane engine air filters and a battery charger.  The statement indicates a video shows the alleged theft taking place at a time when airport personnel were not on site.  He is also charged with alleged theft of an aircraft fertilizer spreader.

 

A summons has been issued for Peniston to appear in court for an Initial Appearance on March 26th, at 9:00 am in Livingston County Associate Court to appear before Judge Micheal Leamer.
