The State’s Jobs report for May shows non-farm payroll increased by 3,700 jobs, private industry employment increased by 3,600 jobs, and government employment increased by 100 jobs.
Missouri’s smoothed seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased by one-tenth of a percentage point in May, to 4%. That is three-tenths of a percentage point higher than in May of 2024 rate of 3.7%.
The monthly unemployment report with a breakdown by county will be released on June 27th.
