Clifford Wayne Rupe

Clifford Wayne Rupe, age 82, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born September 25, 1942 in Chillicothe, Missouri, a son of Ray Linden and Vera Ruth (Hutchison) Rupe.

 

Clifford was a graduate of Hale High School and after graduating, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He retired from the Navy after many years of service to his country as an aircraft mechanic. He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1984 where he was a member of the Zach Wheat American Legion Post. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching football on television. He was a NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

 

Survivors include his sisters, Margaret Burton and husband John and Donna Ireland and husband Jerry all of Chillicothe, Missouri; his nephews and nieces, Terry Lisenby, Rodney Lisenby, Tammy Burton, John Burton, Michael Burton and Jennifer Ireland and several great-nephews and great-nieces.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vera Lisenby and two nieces, Debbie Schneiter and Deborah Schneiter.

 

A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri on May 3, 2025. Visitation to be held at 12pm with a Memorial service at 1pm. Inurnment to be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe.

 

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Legion Post 25 in Chillicothe.
