Lawrence “Larry” Anthony Kinsella

Lawrence Anthony Kinsella, age 84, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on March 14, 2025, at Hillcrest Manor, Hamilton, Missouri.

 

Larry was born the son of Joseph and Frances (Moylan) Kinsella, on November 22, 1940, in Chillicothe, Missouri.  He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Chillicothe.  Following graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army and was with the 101st Airborne Division.

 

Larry was a member of St. Columban Catholic Church.  He was a contractor for most of his life.  Larry owned and operated Shady Valley RV Park in Chillicothe.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports.  Larry liked listening to the Trading Post and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer.

 

Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Kinsella (Janet) of Grant City, Missouri, John Kinsella (Sherri) of Ravenwood, Missouri; one daughter, Joana Pierce (Adam) of Duck Key, Florida; six grandchildren, Dylan Kinsella, Drake Kinsella, Kyle Pierce, Kylin Hawkins (Samuel), Zane Kinsella and Marie Coffelt; and two great grandchildren, Henry and Darcy Hawkins.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, J.R. Kinsella; and two sisters, Frances Ann Hayes and Catheryn Apollonia Reese.

 

A cremation was held.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
