Accidents In Grundy and Daviess Counties

Accidents in Daviess and Grundy Counties were investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol on Thursday.

At about 4:30 am, Troopers in Grundy County responded to US 65, four miles south of Trenton, where a 60-year-old Chillicothe man had run off the road.  The man was northbound at the time of the crash and ran off the east side of the road, overcorrected, and went off the west side of the road and struck the ditch.  He was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe for treatment of minor injuries.  He was wearing a safety belt.

At about 3:45 pm in Daviess County, a 54-year-old Gallatin man was injured in the crash on Route V at Otter Avenue, 6 miles south of Jamesport.  According to the report, the man was northbound and ran off the right side of the road, crossed Otter Avenue and came to rest in the ditch.  He was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.  He was wearing a safety belt.
