A Breckenridge woman is held at the Caldwell County Detention Center on charges of alleged abuse or neglect of a child and endangering the welfare of a child. Thirty-nine-year-old Megan Renee Bergen was arrested on a warrant following an investigation by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department. She is alleged to have allowed her child to be alone with the woman’s boyfriend, who is alleged to have sexually assaulted the child.
Bergen is held at the Caldwell County Detention Center with cash only bond set at $50,000.
