Work on the expansion of the walking trail at Simpson Park and the upgrade of the existing trail was awarded by the Chillicothe City Council. Parks Director Josh Norris presented the bids at the council meeting.
Lent Prints for $73,693.
Norris says the funding for the project is covered by foundations. Brent Turner explained.
Fully funded by several foundations in the community.
Norris says they plan to have the new part of the trail completed before Chautauqua and work on the upgrades and improvements to the existing trail after Chautauqua and before the Festival of Lights.
