A Carrollton man charged with alleged 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action in the death of a family member in April had a hearing in Carroll County court. 28-year-old Dakota Alexander Sweeney was not able to attend. A letter from the Department of Mental Health was presented to the court, asking for an extension to perform a mental evaluation of the defendant.
The case is continued until October 7th for case review.
