July Jobs Report

The State of Missouri’s Jobs report for July has been released.  The report shows Missouri’s non-farm payroll increased by 8,100 jobs, private industry employment increased by 6,900 jobs, and government employment increased by 1,200 jobs.

Missouri’s smoothed seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased in July 2026, declining to 3.6 percent.   That is four-tenths of a percentage point lower than July 2025.

The monthly unemployment report for July, with a breakdown by county, will be released on August 28th.
